The Bez Gospel Choir is a community choir in the Vancouver area, led by Lincoln Tatem. They perform high-energy black gospel and contemporary music with stellar vocal arrangements. Directed by Tatem, the choir features local voices and is accompanied by acclaimed pianist Diane Lines (who has played many Jazz Vespers with her own group). Bez performs both classic gospel tunes and fresh, original compositions. The choir holds its season at the Bez Arts Hub in Langley, welcoming individuals aged 15 and up to join in sessions that focus on a message of hope and community through music.
It’s not just a concert—it’s a musical moment of reflection and joy. Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast or simply curious, this is your opportunity to experience something truly special.
Everyone is welcome.
Typically, our services last for an hour, and in Northwood fashion, we offer a time of conversation over home baked goods prior to Vespers.
The Jazz Vespers service provides a time where jazz meets the Spirit in a time of reflection and prayer. The suggested donation is $10, or pay-what-you can.
