Children and Families are most welcome at Northwood! There are variety of programs and opportunities for children and families to meet, connect, worship and have fun together. Each Sunday morning we offer a time of worship and learning through our Children’s Church program. A Children’s Ministry Team meets once each season to pray and make plans for future needs. Messy Church is an alternative to Sunday mornings and happens once a season throughout the year. We believe in creating space so that children feel welcome in worship and in the church building. Opportunities for families of all ages to engage also happens through a variety of events planned by the Children's Ministry Team.
Covid 19 Update:
- We will gather together with Rev. Scott and some of our amazing Sunday School teachers on Zoom for a video gathering starting at 10 am on Sunday mornings. This will include some teaching, conversation, prayer and song. You can access zoom via your cell phone, tablet or computer. Rev. Scott will be pleased to help get you up and running if this is new for you.
- After our communal time together on zoom, parents and guardians will then work with their children / youth using the at-home learning kits that will be provided to everyone. The kits will be age-appropriate for younger and older, but the same 'theme' and biblical focus will be consistent.
- After 20-30 minutes parent/guardian - child time, we will gather for a closing time.
- We are sure that this will provide a deep opportunity for learning for children, youth, parents & guardians alike!
