Join us for the 11th Annual Walk for Reconciliation!

 May 29, 30, 31, 2026

Please forward this email to your congregants and all those that you think might be interested in attending.

We walk to remember the traumatic harm done by residential schools, and to learn ways we can be actively engaged in acts of reconciliation and allyship in the current climate of denialism in our province.

Join a Group Walk:

  • Friday: Brief Welcome at Fort Langley Historic site – followed by 2.5 km walk to Kwantlen First Nation Longhouse
  • Sunday: Indigenous Place-Based Group Walk - from Fraser River Heritage Park - 1.5 km walk to the former site of St. Mary’s Indian Residential School led by Siya:m Patti Victor

Attend one of these free learning sessions:

  • Friday: Kwantlen First Nation Longhouse Dinner & Reconciliation Engagement
  • Saturday: Indigenous Cedar Weaving workshop led by Gracie Kelly
  • Sunday: The Reconciliation Journey... Moving Forward Together session at former site of St. Mary’s Residential School with learning sessions offered by Patti Victor, Darla Peters, and Andrew Victor
