You have heard of Hurricane Melissa's devastation of Jamaica on October 28, 2025.
We, SweetPan Entertainment, are eager to add to the effort to meet the urgent needs of those whose lives have been upended by this fierce climate catastrophe. That is why we’re calling ourselves The Rooftop Brigade!
To quote Denise:
“When yuh have a fire, de fire brigade does come to put yuh fire out.
When yuh roof fly off, the Rooftop Brigade have to help you!”
The Rooftop Brigade a.k.a. SweetPan and ALL OF YOU combined, are a needed part of Canada's response to this disaster. Together with all the Jamaicans dem that this roundup of donations will help, we invite you to join us on Sunday November 23, 2PM at Northwood United Church, Surrey for The Rooftop Brigade's Benefit Concert for Jamaica.
Let's make this a day of sun and sunshine for everyone as we gather together in music, spirit, and kindness to help people in sudden desperate need. Admit it – at some point, we have all needed, and will need again, the help of another as we move through each chapter of life. With Christmas on the way, it's good to warm up your giving spirit! No amount you contribute is too small.
