September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 

As we continue to work towards reconciliation, we consider how we might honour this important day. Within the larger community, you will find events listed from the City of Surrey webpage that include a “virtual tour” as well as Surrey’s Indigenous Art Collection viewings. In person opportunities include “Skookum Surrey” on September 29 as well as the 3rd annual “Walk for Truth and Reconciliation” at 11am. . Our United Church of Canada national webpage lists a number of excellent video and reading resources along with the history of “Orange Shirt Day”. .
