The Vancouver School of Theology is inviting you to the 2026 G. Peter Kaye Public Lecture and Workshop happening March 13–14. The keynote speaker is L. Gregory Jones, a theologian known for work on forgiveness, Christian leadership, and social innovation. The Friday lecture is free and available both in person and online, while the Saturday workshop is in person only and costs $10 including lunch. Both events require registration. Re-Discovering Christianity’s Surprise: Cultivating Social Innovation at the Heart of the Gospel

Whenever Christian witness has been strongest and the Gospel has spread, a vision of Christian social innovation has been integral. Dr. Jones will explore the practices, convictions, and relationships that made early Christian communities so compelling and offer patterns for renewed Christian life and ministry today.

Crazy People Who Have Hope: Practicing Social Innovation as a Renewal of Institutions and Communities

The workshop will highlight specific examples and underlying practices that inspire imaginative and faithful engagement in church and society.
