Northwood is a community which cherishes an open minded search for truth and open hearted relationships with our neighbors. We take the Bible seriously but not literally. We are awestruck by the diversity of forms faith takes in our world and cherish the rich Christian tradition of which we are a part.
We believe it is more important to be loving than to be right and we believe that questions are the fertile ground of faith and abundant life.
The United Church has never claimed a monopoly on the truth. Every generation needs to articulate the timeless threads of the Christian faith in its own terms. So here are two ways we have stated our faith in recent decades:
