"You are my beloved Child, in whom I am well pleased." This was the message Jesus got at his baptism. This is the message we at Northwood long for every one, child or adult, to carry in their heart and mind. "I am a child of God and nothing can take that away." This is what baptism means to us.

Most often it is a child baptised at Northwood but not always. Sometimes youth or adults feel called to commit to the Christian life. In Baptism with adults we affirm the same blessed relationship with God which exists from our birth, but baptism becomes a moment when adults say "Yes!" to making that relationship a priority in their lives.

If you are contemplating having your child baptized, or if you simply want to explore what it all means, call the church office and talk to one of our ministers.

Baptism

"Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such as these belongs the kingdom of God." Jesus

"I have called you by your name, you are mine; I have gifted you and ask you now to shine. I will not abandon you; all my promises are true. You are gifted, called and chosen; you are mine." Daniel Charles Damon
